About Us

ABOUT STREETLIGHT
StreetLight is a not-for-profit, faith-based organization in Winston-Salem, NC that seeks to provide resources and support for women in crisis, specifically those employed by the adult entertainment industry. Our goal is to demonstrate a genuine care for women in our community by providing pampering gift bags and treats to let them know that they are cared for, to tell them that there is a God who loves them more than they could imagine, and to connect them to local resources on an as-needed basis. We seek to partner with industry management in caring for employees by providing referrals to healthcare, crisis support, counseling, shelter, rehabilitation, and mentoring services.

 

WHY STREETLIGHT
StreetLight is a group of women and men who love God and are passionate about supporting and equipping women to live the fulfilling lives He created them for. Through our own experiences and the experiences of women we’re close to, we know that sometimes life can be tough, and a little extra support goes a long way.  It is our desire to let the members of this community know that they are loved and cared for by us, and more importantly, by a God who created them for an incredible purpose.
